Health/Accident
Insurance
All volunteers from outside Canada must carry their own health/accident

Clothing
If you are arriving in spring, summer, or fall, you will need
clothing for a wide variety of weather conditions. In the winter,
you will need warm winter clothing.
Here is a quote from Yahoo! about the climate:
"Newfoundland's climate varies quite a bit, from the moderate
temperatures enjoyed by the island to the extremes found in
Labrador. As might be expected, Labrador's northerly location
means long, dark, very cold winters, while average temperatures
in St. John's during January run 18 to 30 F/-8 to -1 C, with
snow that sometimes turns to rain. Even so, only the. hardiest
travelers will want to go in the winter, especially by ferry.
Summer is the best time to visit, though an autumn-color tour
in early fall can also be enjoyable. In summer, the coasts will
be cooler and foggier than inland. Expect coastal temperatures
to peak around 70 F/21 C most July and August days, though it
can get warmer. You'll want a jacket for evenings, when temperatures
drop to the low to mid 50s F/10-12 C. September highs only reach
the low 60s F/15-17 C, so be prepared. Take along rain gear
any time of year."
