Over
the past five years the communities in the Trinity Conception
region has been working hard to preserve their built and
cultural heritage. As a result, the region has about 40
community and regional museums.
Old
buildings have been preserved by renovating them for
modern uses. Local individuals have been trying to preserve
cultural traditions in music and dance by teaching the
youth of the area.
With
the growth of awareness of local history and culture communities
have opened museums for presentation to visiting tourist.
This effort has been suffering however by a shortage of
personal to act as interpreters.

Volunteers
are needed to work along side local people to explain
the culture heritage of the site and region.
