As an Anglican church we are people of "word and sacrament."

A special effort is made to prepare for the reception of the sacraments.

Confirmation According to the practices of our diocese, we prepare young people and adults to be presented to the Bishop for "the laying on of hands."
This sacrament has traditionally been the gateway to receiving Holy Communion in our parish. Classes for confirmation take place in the fall and winter, the bishop usually visits during Lent for a service of Confirmation, Reception and First Communion.

baptism Holy Baptism The Sacrament is usually administered to young children. The rector meets with the parents and sponsors (Godparents) to teach and explain what this sacrament means. This sacrament represents our profession of faith and membership into the faith. We welcome all who come for this sacrament. At right, Rev. Noel introduces a new member of the Parish.

Holy Communion - In keeping with our belief that we are a Eucharistic community we have at least one celebration of the Holy Communion every Sunday.
As we see Baptism as the sacrament of justification, we see the Holy Communion as the sacrament of sanctification. All persons who are communicants in their church are welcome to receive at our altar. Home Communions are administered to those who are shut-in and to those in hospital who request it.

Holy Matrimony Those who wish to avail of this sacrament meet with the clergy several times. All couples are expected to complete a "Marriage Preparation Course" which usually takes place on a Saturday in a central location with other parishes. Most couples find this course very helpful because it offers advice and information that is practical as well as the church's understanding of a Christian marriage.

Holy Orders (Ordination)- Our priest and our bishop welcome those who make inquiries about this vocation for the diaconate, the transitional diaconate, and the priesthood.

Holy Unction - The sacrament of Holy Unction or "anointing of the sick" is offered to any who earnestly desire it privately. It has been our custom of late to offer it at a healing service during Holy Week to those who wish to receive it publicly.

Penance(Confession) - "All may, none must, some should." The act of confessing, in faith and penitence, all your sins to God in the presence of a priest is not common, but is certainly available to those who request it.
