Arms of Jesus Mission in Guatemala
Pam Norman and a group of people from the Praish of St. Matthew and St. John participated in the work of the mission during the fall of 2008 and spring of 2009. The ministry in Guatemala began with a sponsorship program designed to help the poorest children. The program provided these children with food, clothing and medical care as well as guaranteeing an education. The children's families are linked with social workers that seek to offer help, counsel and family guidance.

 David Phelps, one of Christian Music's most acclaimed vocalist performed at St. Matthew's Church on May 15th, 2007.
The Morgan Brothers of Bay Roberts opened the show with a rousing performance. David Phelps then performed to an enthusiastic audience, who were inspired by his incredible voice and his message.
David singing ""When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", " "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and a video clip of "Just as I Am."
