News
July 2007 Baccalieu Consulting is currently working on a number of projects. We are working with the Town of Bay Roberts on several projects at the moment.
- We are in the process of a complete reworking of the Baccalieu Trail Tourism Association Website (www.northernavalon.com , so that it will have a similar look and feel to "Take the Coast...Explore Northern Avalon". This year we completely reworked the Tourism Guide in the light of suggestions by Kerri Abbott, Claudine Garland, and other members of the Tourism Association. As well, the Tourism Association now has members from the Admirals' Coast and the Killick Coast, so the book is also larger than last year. The redesign seems to have worked, since they have been unable to keep them on the shelves!
We have redesigned the Klondyke Concerts site and given it a new name www.bayrobertsevents.com. The new site reflects all the Special Events in the town all year round.We designed a poster for this summer's Klondyke Concert. We have completed a new pamphlet on the Bay Roberts East Shoreline Heritage Walk and one on the Town of Bay Roberts. In addition we developed a proposal to have the Railway Station declaired a Provincial Regisitered Heritage Structure, which was accepted.
- We have completed a new version of the Town of Carbonear Website (www.carbonear.ca) We are also designing a new pamphlet/map of the town which will be printed soon.
- We have taken over and redeisned the Town of Brigus Website (www.brigus.net) We have added panoramic views of the town which we designed using javascript. We also completed two maps of the town which are available as PDF files on their website.

Baccalieu: Crossroads for Cultures Project, for which Baccalieu Consulting were project managers, was launched on October 7, 2005 at Woodland Elementary School in Dildo, Trinity Bay.
Heritage
Canada and HRSDC granted a total of approximately $220,000 funding to the Eastern School District and a consortium of Baccalieu Trail Organizations to develop a
completely bilingual digitization project and an educational website which records and interprets the significant 17th century history of the region. The website illustrates
how various peoples, including the English, the French, the Beothuks,
and the pirates interacted in the region at that pivotal time
in the European settlement of North America. A focus is on
Cupers Cove or Cupids. Cupers Cove which was founded in 1610 by John Guy is the oldest
official English settlement in Canada and the second oldest in
North America. The town of Cupids will be celebrating its 400th anniversay in August of 2010.
October 2005 Baccalieu Consulting has also completed new websites for Playtime Entertainment Group, the Princess Sheila NaGeira Theatre, and Ocean Delight Cottages.
